Booking platform for hotel rooms near the motorway. Operation of own microhotels in shipping containers. Completely digital business concept from the booking to the room key.
Roatel solves 3 problems at once: 1. The drivers don't have to exit the motorway, they can spend the night where their truck is parked, protected and burglar-proof. 2. Truck stops receive additional customers and thus generate additional sales in their core business. Added to this are the leasing fees paid by Roatel. 3. For transportation companies, Roatel solves the problem of finding suitable accommodation for employees. There is now a nationwide offer with consistent quality. In addition, the transported goods do not remain unattended, since the driver spends the night in the immediate vicinity. The founders come from the logistics industry themselves and know the problems of the companies and the drivers. Mainly due to the transfer of orders to companies from Eastern Europe, more and more truck drivers are now driving on German roads for longer periods of time. They then mostly live in miserable conditions on and around the motorways. This leads to poorer driving safety and, as a result, often to avoidable accidents. The founders of Roatel would like to make a contribution to remedying this situation or at least reducing it.
Our solution is a digital platform that truck drivers can use to find overnight accommodation that is on or near the motorway and also has a truck parking space. In the best case, this parking lot is even guarded. Our booking platform can either be used by the guest or the employer books and pays for the room for his employee. The entrepreneur can book all the rooms for several weeks or months in advance for several employees. The number of self-built Roatel rooms will be multiplied at a later date by arranging other third-party accommodation options that are close to the Roatels and within walking distance. The target group of truck drivers is supplemented by craftsmen. Of course, business travelers and private individuals can also use the Roatel when they are on the road and do not want to leave the motorway network.
Roatel is building a customer database for hotel room offerings, which includes transport companies on the one hand and truck drivers on the other. These companies are able and willing to pay their employees decent weekend accommodation. In addition, Roatel collects mobility profiles that can be derived from the bookings. This data should then be used to implement other related business concepts, e.g. recruiting truck drivers in Europe.
