PerAGraft's business model is primarily based on the development, production and distribution of patient-individualised, cardiovascular implants and is supplemented by a comprehensive range of services for physicians and hospitals.
Clinically established implants are usually off-the-shelf products available in certain standard sizes (“prêt-à-porter”). Complex clinical pictures may however require a patient-specific solution (“haute couture”) for treatment. Available patient individualised devices remain directly related to time intensive, high manual labour processes and high costs. Commercially available patient individualized stent grafts have delivery times of several weeks to months, leaving the patient at risk of rupture and death. Costs per implant are up to 35.000 €. Our combined proprietary software (implant design) and hardware (innovative textile manufacturing) approach makes it possible to create, produce and deliver patient individualised implants in only five days. We use a fast and reliable implant design process to perfectly match the patient’s needs. Our production speed enables us to offer a first-time solution for CAA-patients in need of urgent treatment.
We combine an end-to-end digital process chain and an innovative textile manufacturing technology to enable, for the first time, a fast realisation of the textile-based implants. Our digital solution implies the data transfer of medical image data from hospitals. Based on the received data, we design each and every implant using our proprietary software platform to specifically match the patient's individual needs. The patient indivdiualised design uses a data-driven approach. We further plan to implement novel insights on predictive implant behaviour into the design process. The patient individual implant design is automatically transferred into the required machine code and fed into the production machine. Our digital solution enables us to offer a highly accurate and extremely fast design process which is crucial for the future of patient individualised implants.
Our goal is to use our knowledge, new scientific insights and advances in medical image processing to derive the best solution for each and every patient. Our business model and our holistic approach create benefits for health care providers (hospitals) by cutting down planning time for the physicians as well as required time per procedure in the operating theatre.
