VitrofluidiX is the first simple and versatile OoC platform that allows the simulation of human organ function. This is made possible by the platform creating an organ-like environment for human cells without the need for additional devices, allowing them to behave much more realistically and thus enabling the testing of new drugs under realistic conditions. In future, animal testing can be reduced and research into diseases can be carried out in a more efficient and personalised manner.
The device is complemented by a cloud-based app that enables automated live recordings and remote monitoring of experimental parameters using a camera connected to any microscope. While the hardware is provided via direct sale or leasing, the software is based on a subscription-based model that offers continuous analysis and monitoring functions.
